We stayed in the La Maison rooms, which are a short walk from the main hotel. The hotel in perfectly located near Place D' Quebec for D-day and Mont St. Michel tour meeting place. The breakfast was standard European hotel breakfast, nothing special. It was warm and plentiful. The coffee from a machine was good, not great. We arrived before our room was ready so they kept our luggage in reception, and it was in out room when we checked in. Thank You.

I am trying to update my review of La Cour Royale but the site is not letting me. I answered no breakfast - this was an answer to a Booking.com question and not a put down on the accommodation - it was a flat and I did not expect breakfast. I also put a rating of 5 out of ten for staff because this was a flat and I didn’t expect staff! I hope this clears this up. It was an excellent place to stay and would like to again.

The city is beautiful and easy to get around in by foot. We enjoyed seeing the Cathedral and The Tapestry as well as a couple restaurants and an awesome pastry shop.
Taxi service is limited (allow plenty of time to await a taxi). Uber service did not exist.

Bayeux is a lovely town and very central to all of the D Day beaches and many other interesting places related to WW2.
The town is not too big so a lot can be seen in a reasonable space of time.
The British memorial cemetery there is one of the most poignant I visited.

Our tour of the D. day beaches was very interesting and moving. The Norte Dame Cathedral de Bayeux was a highlight of the city as well as the tour of the Tapestry. Restaurants were all outstanding. We would love to go back.

We came to Bayeux to see the Tapestry.
We came to Bayeux to see the Tapestry. I was looking forward to it and it was even better than I had expected. Bayeux is a lovely town with interesting things to do and see, such as the Cathedral and the Art Museum. The people are very friendly and the food is great.
This hotel was very close to everything, easy walk to town. Beautiful house with lovely traditional features. Clean and comfortable room with a balcony and view to the cathedral. Parking was across the street in a car park but the host gave you a ticket so no fee for it. The room was a good size with a comfy bed and pillows. Tea and coffee was available in the room which is a bonus on France. The host is very friendly and helpful and can understand English which is always a bonus. Breakfast was traditional french.
The apartment was comfortable and large compared to other locations in France. The city of Bayeux was so quaint and we had excellent views looking down from the windows that opened. There were plenty of restaurants and pattiseries within walking distance too.
My only caution to others is the staircase leading up to the apartment. It's a winding staircase that may not be easily maneuvered for some. We're energetic and carrying our luggage up the stairs was a workout.
This house is in a perfect location, is private and has its own parking. The inside is lovely and spacious. We walked everywhere. In the evenings when you settle in, this home is so quiet and peaceful. You’ll be able to relax and get a great night’s sleep after a day of touring. In our month of traveling France and staying at 11 BnBs, this was by far our favorite.
This was a great value. It is rated as a 2 Star, but it is better than many three and four stars I have stayed in. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the train, 3 minutes to the cathedral, and 4 minutes to the Bayeux Tapestry. The restaurant on site is excellent. We ate there all three nights, it was one of the only restaurants open after 7:00 pm.
Very nice room a few minutes walk from town center. Room was large and clean and bathroom was exceptional. The hostess was friendly and they sold wine at a nice price that we enjoyed in the room. Bayeux is a great place to start tours of the WWII Normandy region, and the town is quaint and full of nice shops and restaurants.
Beautiful Chambre d’hotes, with the equally lovely Christine an excellent host. 20 minute stroll into Bayeux and all the many things it has to offer. Perfect location if touring the Normandy beaches as we were. So peaceful at the house, the map room was a real bonus. Christine put together a lovely breakfast. Just perfect!
We loved this suite! To our surprise we had the whole top floor of the house, with a sitting room and mini kitchen in addition to the bedroom. Everything was perfect, and it was the nicest place we stayed in our whole 3 weeks in France.
All staff polite and helpful, great breakfast and a perfect location in Both Bayeux and in the greater area of Normandy. Nice room too. Had a great short stay here. Ideally located in center of Bayeux near to Cathedral and Tapestry.
Location was good, central to the town of Bayeux. If visiting Normandy, a rental car is more convenient than bus. All supplies were available. Kitchen was nicely upgraded. Off season, there are not a lot of restaurants open.
The hotel is positioned perfectly in the town centre. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast selection was varied and good quality food. The pool area was nice and relaxing.
Proximity of supermarkets and Bayeux town centre
Large shower
Dishwasher
Nice amenities like barbecue, petanque set, garden table and chairs
Electric blinds all around the windows
It was an ideal location for a needs which were to visit the Normandy D D Beaches, an areas surrounding them. Plus the cathedral at Bayeux and it’s tapestry.
We were touring WWII sites in Normandy. Hotel Churchill was a place to come back to after a long day of tours -- centrally located and close to restaurants.
