You can skip the long ticket queue and enter the museum to explore a massive collection of artwork, including the iconic Mona Lisa by the Italian artist, Leonardo da Vinci. You can enter the venue directly with your voucher.
Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the time indicated on your ticket. Present your ticket to the security staff at the 'visitors with e-ticket' line at the pyramid entrance.
You can reach the venue by metro:
- Line 1: Alight at Palais Royal or Louvre-Rivoli
- Line 7: Alight at Pyramides or Palais Royal station
- Line 14: Alight at Pyramides station.
You can also reach the venue by bus routes 21, 27, 39, 67, 68, 69, 72, 74, 85 and 95.
If you're arriving by car, the drop-off area is located at Place du Carrousel, near bus stops 39, 68 and 95.
If you're arriving by taxi, the drop-off area is at the carrousel roundabout.
The nearest pick-up area is at Place André Malraux.
Children aged 0–17 years and European Union nationals aged 18–25 years can enter the Louvre for free. Please reserve a time slot for the free ticket on the Louvre Museum's official website in advance. The time slot will be subject to availability. Please present a valid ID along with the free ticket reservation at the entrance.
Please note that you cannot reenter the venue after you leave.
The skip-the-line admission is subject to the Louvre Museum’s procedures.
Security protocols and unexpected large crowds may slow down the line at the entrance.
Please note that there is no priority entrance for temporary admissions inside the museum.
In case you miss your scheduled time slot, you'll be required to join the line for regular ticket holders.
For safety reasons, the cloakroom will remain closed. Therefore, items such as motorcycle helmets, suitcases and large bags will not be allowed.
Please note that only a limited number of people can enter the museum at once. Hence, your selected time slot may not be guaranteed. Please provide an alternative time slot at checkout, in case your selected time slot is not available. Please check your time slot on the voucher before visiting.
The opening hours are:
- 09:00–18:00: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday
- 09:00–21:45: Friday
The last admission is one hour before the closing time.
The museum is closed on Tuesdays, 1 January, 1 May and 25 December.
